The Serra dos Órgãos National Park is a Federal Conservation Unit located in the city of Teresopolis Mountain Region – Area: 771 km² / Altitude: 871 m / Average temperature: 18° / It is the highest city in the state of Rio de Janeiro

Created on November 30, 1939, PARNASO is the third oldest park in the country, representing an important milestone in the history of Brazilian Conservation Units.

It is one of the best places in the country to practice mountain sports, such as climbing, hiking, rappelling and others; as well as having fantastic waterfalls. The Park has the largest network of trails in Brazil. There are more than 200 kilometers of trails at all levels of difficulty: from the suspended trail, accessible to wheelchair users, to the heavy Petrópolis-Teresópolis Crossing, with 30 km of ascents and descents through the high part of the mountains.

Among the climbs, Dedo de Deus stands out, considered the starting point of climbing in the country.

It was created in 1939 to protect the exceptional landscape and biodiversity of this stretch of Serra do Mar in the Mountain Region of Rio de Janeiro. There are 20,024 hectares protected in the municipalities of Teresópolis, Petrópolis, Magé and Guapimirim.

The Park is home to more than 2,800 species of plants cataloged by science, 462 species of birds, 105 species of mammals, 103 species of amphibians and 83 species of reptiles, including 130 animals threatened with extinction and many endemic species (which only occur in this location).

ITINERARY: Travel around 1 hour and 40 minutes to the entrance of PARNASO – Stop at the Visitor Center in the upper part of the Park – 2 hour hikin (total) 360 Degree Trail – Rest at the top of the mountain – Walk back with a Visit to the natural pool 2 Brothers – Return to the hotel. Hiking level: Medium.

CHILDREN: Not recommended for children under 10 years old

RESTRICTIONS: Cooler bag, cooler, styrofoam and bringing drinks (It is a contemplative tour as it is an environmentally protected region). Not recommended for sedentary people.

IMPORTANT: Bring a jacket, hiking shoes, water and bath suits.

Tour not recommended on the client’s flight days. Bring sunscreen and repellent.

Cancellation Policy:

less than 7 (seven) days, the day before, no-shows, cancellations, less attendance than reserved, will be considered “no show”, with no refund of the due amounts.

We do not recommend that customers take our tours on days that have time commitments (booked travel, flights, arrival or departure from the city, etc.), as delays may occur.

Important information about high season periods, holidays and major events, cities and roads are busier than normal. There may be delays in boarding and delays due to traffic and road problems, crowding at visiting points and connection points within our schedule.
